Ronit Atad joins SIGA as Chairman

SIGA is pleased to announce that Ronit Atad has joined the company as its Chairman. Ronit is an accomplished executive in Israel, having previously served as the CEO of Microsoft Israel. With over two decades of experience in leading technology and business transformation, Ronit brings extensive expertise in management, strategy, and innovation. Her leadership is expected to significantly contribute to SIGA Security’s global expansion efforts

Ronit’s hire comes at a critical time in the company’s growth as it expands its offerings. SIGA is already a key player in both the local and international cyber security market, with significant customers in Israel, North America and Europe.

With the growing number of incidents of OT cyberattacks globally, the company is now expanding its offering to include a Multi-Layer Machine Learning Process-Oriented OT Cybersecurity suite of solutions for early alerts and critical Incident Response (IR) during the lateral movement, persistence, and execution phases of an OT cyber-attack. Using advanced Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, SIGA detects evolving OT cyberattacks based on anomalies and discrepancies within and between the Level 0 data (the physical process) and Industrial Control Systems (levels 1-4). The solution is delivered via a SaaS subscription model.

The solution fills an important gap in the OT cyber security market.  Existing OT cyber protections provide only partial insights into evolving threats because detection tools rely exclusively on data from the operational controls of the Industrial Control Systems but lack unfiltered access to the actual behavior of the physical machinery and processes. With SIGA, this information gap is closed, providing companies with real time information about cyberattacks.

Amir Samoiloff, CEO of SIGA, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment, “We are excited to welcome Ronit as our new Chairman,” he said. “Her leadership and extensive experience will be invaluable as we continue to innovate and lead in the cybersecurity industry.”

“Very few companies have such an opportunity to make a transformative impact on the industry,” said Ronit. “SIGA is already a leader in the OT cyber sector and is set to broaden its offerings. I look forward to contributing to the company at such an exciting time.”
