With the growing involvement of government sponsor hacker groups targeting OT/ICS environments, the question of the relevance of “man-in-the-middle” attacks has risen again. Attackers now have more resources and determination than ever to attempt compromising PLCs of critical infrastructure to acutely disrupt critical infrastructure operations.

This webinar will walk the audience through the unfolding of such an attack and later discuss the importance of Level 0 as an efficient measure for detection and minimizing the consequences of such attacks.

Dr. Sara Bitan from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, will demonstrate how a group of researchers used exploits to successfuly breach Siemens’ PLCs to launch “man-in-the-middle” attacks, to further emphasize how common such attacks could be.

Amir Samoilof, SIGA’s co-founder and CEO, will discuss the issues arising from such attacks and will show how capitalizing on Level 0 can maintain asset visibility even if the PLC is compromised. Thus, ensuring organizations can out-smart the attackers by preventing their ability to shut down operations.
